A day or so ago, it was announced by some members of the French media that Luis Campos wanted to leave Lille.

The director of football allegedly asked to be freed from his contract because of a series of differences, among which is the club’s stance on the transfer market, which has unsurprisingly led to stories of him potentially moving to a new club.

According to Canal+, relayed by the InfoSport+ Twitter account, his new destination is likely to be Tottenham.

That’s all we get from them, but there’s more from La Voix du Nord, who relay the information, but add it’s one ‘to be taken seriously’ because José Mourinho ‘has been spotted many times’ in the stands of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium.

Not only that, but they remind their readers that Tottenham have already poached two of Lille’s coaches in João Sacramento and Nuno Santos this season, so them returning for another member of the club shouldn’t be surprising.

It remains to be seen if this comes to fruition, but it’s worth pointing out Luis Campos isn’t a free agent just yet, so until he is officially relieved of his duties by Gérard Lopez, he isn’t going anywhere.
