Even though Liverpool’s chase for Torino defender Bremer has gone a little quiet over the past few weeks, we continue to see the Reds being named as one of the contenders to land the 25-year-old this summer.

Today it’s outlet Torino Granata who names Jurgen Klopp’s side in the race. They point out that the player’s future has become a ‘recurring question’ since he started succeeding for the Serie A side, who are now ‘preparing the auction to get the most out of his sale’.

There’s a chance, however, that Bremer could end up staying in Turin, where Juventus want him as well. This possibility was mentioned by Francesco Oppini, who on 7 Gold, said the Old Lady have some plans to get this signing done.

“Juventus greatly appreciate Bremer and will try to give him to Mr. Massimiliano Allegri in view of next season. I can tell you that the management of the Old Lady has also identified the possible sacrifice. In order to buy Bremer, Juventus would be willing to sell Daniele Rugani to Torino,” said Oppini.

Torino Granata, a club dedicated website, points out president Urbano Cairo may not sell Bremer to Juventus, as that would expose him to ‘criticism’ from fans due to the city rivalry.

That makes sense, and also gives a boost for the clubs who want to take the player far away from Turin, with Liverpool being one of the alternatives for it.

According to the report, the Reds have ‘set their sights’ on the defender.
