Calm down Liverpool fans, just because one of your team’s scouts travelled to watch Borussia Dortmund play on Thursday evening doesn’t mean you’re going to sign Marco Reus.

Or are you?

We don’t know, but what we can tell you is that Estadio Deportivo are reporting on Friday that Liverpool were one of many teams who sent talent spotters to Austria to watch RB Leipzig draw 0-0 with Jürgen Klopp’s former side.

On display were the likes of Mohamed Dahoud (heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the past), the aforementioned Marco Reus, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Sokratis, who would do the Reds’ defence the world of good.

As for Leipzig, there was a lot of young talent on display, with the likes of Diadie Samassékou or Duje Caleta-Sar just two potential targets in what was a very young team.

Xaver Schlager and Amadou Haidara can also be added to that list.

Then again, the scout could have just been there without a specific target in mind on the off chance someone caught his eye.
