Liverpool have turned down the chance to re-sign Philippe Coutinho this summer, with the player likely to leave Barcelona.
The Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but they have made it clear they do not intend to turn the move into a permanent one.
Barcelona are thus trying to find a new suitor for the midfielder, who has no future at the Nou Camp just two years after his £130m move there.
Sport report several suitors are vying for his signature, although none of them are capable of ‘fully satisfying’ the conditions Barcelona have set for a move.
One club who aren’t in the mix are Liverpool, with it explained that Coutinho called them to ‘explore’ whether they’d be interested in bringing him back to Anfield.
The answer to that was an unequivocal no, with Jürgen Klopp’s side making it clear they ‘do not want him’ following his high profile and slightly acrimonious departure in 2018.
With that potential exit route blocked off, Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian has ‘started a tour’ around Europe to find his client a way out.
That tour will not be taking him anywhere near Liverpool, though, who it seems would rather focus on the future than go back to their former star.
