Alisson to Liverpool, Chelsea or Real Madrid rumbles on in the Italian media, with the Reds once again said to be ‘on pole’ for the player.
Denials from England of Jurgen Klopp’s side making an approach haven’t stopped the bandwagon continuing in the Italian media, and Tuesday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has a big feature on the potential move.
The Italian newspaper say it’s going to be a ‘Beatles versus the Rolling Stones’ type of battle, and it’s now Chelsea’s turn to have a go in the auction.
Liverpool have made the ‘most appropriate offer’, which is said to stand at €60m plus a further €10m in bonus payments. Despite it being the best, that isn’t considered enough by Roma, who are looking at a very ambitious €75-80m.
Despite the difference in figures, it’s claimed an agreement ‘isn’t far’, with Gazzetta citing Liverpool’s big need for a top goalkeeper. A friendly relationship between the owners of the English and Italian clubs is once again stated as an advantage for Klopp’s men.
Liverpool ‘are ahead’, and despite Real Madrid being the club’s of Alisson’s ‘heart’, it’s thought the La Liga side are going for Thibaut Courtois instead.
Gazzetta say there’s a 45% chance Alisson ends up at Liverpool, a 35% chance it’s Chelsea, Real Madrid get 10% and a stay at Roma is also put at 10%.
