Liverpool goalkeeper Adrián San Miguel ‘wants to return’ to Real Betis, according to La Razón.
Jürgen Klopp only relied on the 34-year-old at the start of the season, when Alisson Becker was sidelined with injury. Since last October, the Spaniard has been restricted to only one appearance.
With a contract expiring at the end of the season, the keeper ‘wants’ to join Manuel Pellegrini’s side in the summer.
Adrián trained under the Chilean in his final season at West Ham United and the pair could reunite next season, if the La Liga side take him on a free transfer.
Real Betis have already agreed a deal to sign Granda’s Rui Silva in the summer, and they will have to bring in another goalkeeper in the next market, if Claudio Bravo leaves Los Verdiblancos.
If such a situation arises, the Liverpool custodian wants to ‘take advantage’ to have another opportunity at the Spanish club.
Adrián intends to return to La Liga after his contract at Anfield expires in the summer, and his preference is to join Real Betis.
La Razón add Pellegrini’s side will only contemplate signing Adrián in the event Bravo leaves the club.
If Bravo decides to continue at Real Betis, then Klopp’s man will have to find a new club in the summer.
