On Thursday afternoon, outlet Tutto Mercato Web featured an update on what’s been going on between AC Milan and Liverpool centre-forward Divock Origi.

It was claimed that following a meeting on Monday, the Rossoneri became aware of the demands made by the player, and a ‘new summit’ could be done in ten days.

Now it turns out that as Calcio Mercato brings their own story on this case, they actually sound a lot more confident about the move.

The outlet writes that following the ‘positive meeting’ held on Monday, a ‘basis of agreement was reached’ for a contract.

It’s said this deal will be finalised ‘in the coming weeks’, with the parties meeting again to ‘try to close the operation’, even though Milan still face big competition for his signing.

Regarding Liverpool’s clause to renew Origi’s contract, which has been mentioned by a few Italian reports, it’s claimed it only exists in case the player reaches a number of appearances this season. That’s said to be ‘far away’ from being reached, so it’s thought to be likely he’ll leave the Reds for free in the summer.
