With Georginio Wijnaldum’s contract with Liverpool expiring at the end of the season, it’s no surprise to see him linked to several European sides.
It’s been a while since the Italian press started reporting the interest from a few clubs in the 30-year-old, and things are taken to a new level now.
Live on Sports Mediaset, journalists had been speaking about the midfielder’s situation, and it’s been claimed he already has an agreement to join Inter Milan this summer.
The quotes are brought by FC Inter 1908, and started with Claudio Raimond talking about interest from the Serie A club.
“It’s a low-profile and free agents market: Marotta therefore looks to Georginio Wijnaldum,” he said.
Then journalist Sandro Sabatini came up making claims about an agreement between the player and the Nerazzurri.
“From what I know Inter already have a handshake with Wijnaldum, already from last year. Then they decided to do it on a free transfer.”
Recent reports from Spain have claimed that Wijnaldum would like to stay at Liverpool, but not at ‘any cost’. That’s why despite the offer for a contract extension he received from the Reds, he would still listen to all the other offers before he takes a decision.
