Darwin Nunez had a good Premier League debut for Liverpool, scoring and getting an assist against Fulham, although Jurgen Klopp’s side had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
In the next match against Crystal Palace, the Uruguay international lost his head, and flung it towards Joachim Andersen, earning himself a red card in the process.
He returned against Everton at the weekend but was unable to have the impact he’ll have wanted, as Liverpool drew 0-0 with Frank Lampard’s Toffees.
Nunez is of course still very early in his Anfield career and he’ll be able to put that sending off behind him with goals in upcoming matches. There’s a lot of belief in the former Benfica player, and one man backing him is Guti, who worked with the striker at Almeria.
