On May 30th, reports from Germany and France stated that Liverpool have ‘enquired’ about a move for Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard.
The 27-year-old was used in the heart of defence and also as a right-back last season, and managed seven goals and an assist from 43 games. His form and desire for a change has caught the attention of several clubs, including the Reds.
According to Bild, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Barcelona are all interested in signing him.
To avoid losing the versatile player for free in 2024, Thomas Tuchel’s side want to sell him in the ‘next few weeks’.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been the first-choice right-back for Jürgen Klopp over the past few years. If Pavard were to end up at Liverpool, he may be considered for the centre-back position rather than the right side of defence.
