The Brazilian media today shares very interesting news about Liverpool’s chase for Palmeiras youngster Luís Guilherme.

Following reports from the English press claiming the Reds are keen on the signing, it’s now journalist Jorge Nicola who shares some details about this chase.

The reporter reveals that a Liverpool representative recently visited Palmeiras to speak to the Brazilian club and the player’s family in person.

It’s said the Reds’ idea is to put forward an offer ‘in the coming days’ to get the signing done ahead of the summer.

Even though the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich had also been interested in Luis Guilherme, Liverpool are said to be the ‘main’ interested side now.

Palmeiras, meanwhile, are watching the movements around their starlet and would like to sell him for at least €35m, although it’s not yet said how much the Reds would like to put on the table.

Luis Guilherme is just 18, and only has 32 appearances for Palmeiras so far, with no goals or assists.

He’s still making his way through the first team, but hasn’t appeared to have put the Reds off, who seem to believe there is a lot potential there to grow.
