Dusan Vlahovic’s contract situation at Fiorentina has turned from complicated to fractious, and it would appear Liverpool are taking note of the situation.
The player’s current deal with the Serie A side lasts until June 2023 and talks for a renewal have been ongoing. Those talks recently collapsed, with Fiorentina’s president suggesting the player’s entourage don’t have serious interest in signing a new contract.
Tuttosport say that means a transfer is ‘very probable’, with La Viola unwilling to risk the chance of the striker leaving for nothing when his deal expires.
Juventus, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool are all said to be ‘moving’ for the transfer.
Jurgen Klopp’s side being pulled into the picture is interesting, given other Premier League clubs have been linked far more often. Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have been the sides mentioned most in recent months.
Liverpool may well believe the opportunity is there for a reasonable priced transfer, and that it’s too good to turn down.
Vlahovic is 21-years-of-age, and has scored six times in eight matches so far this season.
