Reports from the Spanish media in the past couple of days have been claiming that Atletico Madrid star João Félix could soon be leaving the La Liga side.

With the 22-year-old’s characteristics not ‘fitting Diego Simeone’s playing style’, the attacker could leave the club in January, according to an initial report from AS.

Now as Cadena SER brings an update to the situation, they list a few clubs who could land the Portuguese youngster, and Liverpool are named as one of them.

The Reds are said to be among the Premier League sides who have ‘asked’ about Félix’s situation at Atletico Madrid and should now be aware of the conditions to sign him in the winter window.

According to Cadena SER, Atletico Madrid chairman Miguel Angel Gil told the player’s agent Jorge Mendes to ‘bring the money’. The official is now waiting for the offers to consider the possibility of a January sale.

Cadena SER has a story with an update on their website. Still, the information on Liverpool’s interest is brought by AS, claiming the first outlet reported this on their live broadcast.

João Félix, who joined Atletico Madrid in a €127m deal in 2019, only has one goal and two assists for the club this season. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €70m.
