Premier League side Liverpool are now the latest club to be linked to the Flamengo star Lucas Paquetá.
The report comes from Premium Sport journalist Anderson Marques this Friday, who claims that the Reds are interested in the 20-year-old.
Marques doesn’t really give any details on the chase, and only makes it clear that Jurgen Klopp’s side are following the youngster, with no information about talks or bids for now.
Lucas Paquetá has been playing for Flamengo since 2016, but has been really standing out this season, both in the Brazilian League and Copa Libertadores.
With Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo both signing for Real Madrid, Paquetá is expected to be the next one snapped up by a European giant, and that’s why Flamengo are so concerned about keeping him.
Earlier this week, we’ve covered claims from Brazil which said that Manchester City would be considering to paying the player’s release clause, which is £40m.
On the same day, another report from Brazil said that Paquetá’s agent has recently listened to offers from European giants in London. One of the strongest pretenders would be an English club.
Now we wonder if this club would be Liverpool or Manchester City.
