Liverpool are the latest European side to join the race for Fluminense midfielder André Trindade, according to claims from Brazil.

Outlet Netflu writes the Reds have been ‘watching from close’ the 20-year-old’s performances for the Rio de Janeiro side.

André Trindade’s potential had already been noticed by the likes of Ajax, Barcelona and Udinese, and Liverpool are now one more club to line up for a potential move.

Ajax and Udinese have good scouting operations in South America.

It’s said scouts from the Reds have been watching Fluminense matches and sent information to the club. That’s how things stand for now, with no offer or further talks reported.

Netflu points out there’s a ‘good relationship’ between Liverpool and Fluminense, as the clubs recently negotiated the transfer of goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga to Anfield.

If we pull the records up, we can also recall that the two clubs also worked on the move of midfielder Allan, who belonged to the Premier League side and had a loan spell at Flu.
