Last month, we covered claims from Italy which stated Liverpool have former Everton man Ademola Lookman in their target list for the summer window.
The forward was at Everton between 2017 and 2019 where he managed four goals and two assists from 48 games.
Everton then sold Lookman to RB Leipzig in 2019 and he then move to La Dea in 2022. He excelled in Italy and his performances this season have seen Liverpool and other clubs take notice.
Corriere dello Sport now cover Liverpool’s interest and also the Serie A club’s stance on the 27-year-old.
Gian Piero Gasperini has mainly used the Everton flop as a key figure to lead Atalanta’s attack this season, and he scored 18 goals and registered seven assists from 36 games.
The report states Liverpool ‘like’ the Nigeria international while Juventus are monitoring him.
Lookman has a contract until 2026, with an option for another year. The Italian club are looking to retain him beyond this season, but it’s not given that he’ll stay. That’s because of Liverpool and the Turin club’s interest.
Corriere state if Atalanta were to receive an offer of at least €60m, Lookman’s sale in the summer window would be ‘inevitable’.
The Reds are told the conditions needed to sign him and whether they’ll meet the demand remains to be seen.
