It seems Liverpool goalkeeping coach Claudio Taffarel will exclusively dedicate himself to the club from now on.
Since 2014, the Brazilian legend had worked for his country’s national team, and used to combine that with club jobs, first at Galatasaray and then at the Reds.
When manager Tite stepped down after the World Cup, it wasn’t very clear whether only his assistants would be leaving the national team or all of the staff would be fired as well.
Now as reported by Globo Esporte, Taffarel is one of the many figures who are leaving their positions. The Liverpool coach is set to be replaced by América-MG’s Silvio Jardim.
The goalkeeping coach is a legend in Brazil for having over 100 caps for the national team, and especially for his performances at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
