It looks like Allan’s situation isn’t being sorted as quickly as Fluminense expected.
As reported by website UOL today, the Brazilian side wanted a decision from Liverpool before Thursday, but the Reds are not in a rush for it.
Fluminense first had a bid for 50% of the player rejected. Now they expect this second offer, for 80% of his rights, to be accepted by Liverpool.
UOL reports negotiations have been ‘dragged out’ by the Premier League side, and are now starting to look like a ‘soap opera’.
Allan played for the Rio de Janeiro side on a loan spell in 2019, and as he enters the final six months of contract with Liverpool, the Reds want him gone for good. Selling him now is obviously a better option than losing him for free in the summer.
His wish is to stay at Fluminense, and that’s why the likes of São Paulo and Atlético Mineiro didn’t get far in the competition to sign him.
