It had been a while since the Portuguese press last had updates on Rafael Camacho’s situation, but outlet A Bola brought a very complete story this weekend.

They say the player is not interested in signing a new deal with Liverpool, despite having his contract with the Reds expiring next year.

Camacho is looking for more playing time, something Jurgen Klopp promised him when blocking a loan to Sporting back in January, but that wasn’t fulfilled.

And although the player would be fine to stay at Anfield for one more season, leaving for free next year, Liverpool now feel forced to sell him this summer.

The Reds are said to be demanding €10m for the sale, but Sporting, who have been negotiating with the club and his agent, are not keen on paying that much.

They want to use the player’s wish by their side, along with the fact that he’s a former academy player. So they believe a deal could be found for only €5m.
