Marcelo Brozović’s time at Inter has been one of ups and downs, and while there was a time when he was heavily linked with a move away from the Serie A side, things have calmed down a bit.
That’s because he’s started playing more regularly and has found a new lease of life under Antonio Conte, where he features in a deeper role.
However, all these performances have caught the eye of Liverpool, who are now allegedly taking an interest in the Croatian midfielder.
That’s according to Libero, relayed by Passione Inter, on Thursday, who report that Brozović’s agent has been ‘contacted by Liverpool simply to take preliminary information’.
We’re guessing that’s just to see whether there would be an interest from either the player’s end or even Inter regarding a transfer, although that seems unlikely at this moment in time.
The Italian side are currently trying to ‘quickly eliminate the €60m release clause in his contract’ and have been working on a deal extension ‘for months’.
In fact, there’s a belief they’re nearly there, meaning any interest from Anfield would quickly be dispelled if Brozović were to commit his long term future to the San Siro side.
Still, no harm in trying.
