Liverpool are named today as one of the clubs who are fighting for the signing of Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes.
The news comes from Catalan outlet Sport, who has a story saying Barcelona are interested in buying the 17-year-old next summer.
The Camp Nou side are looking for a player ‘like Yaya Toure’, who can cover a big part of midfield, and see Camavinga as the perfect target.
But Barça are cautious about the competition, because both Liverpool and Real Madrid have been in touch for his signing.
It’s claimed that Rennes will be tough in the negotiations, and would be unlikely to let Camavinga move for less than €50m.
However, Coronavirus is expected to slow down the transfer market, and that’s why the French side may end up dropping their demands a little.
Barcelona are said to be watching the situation to see the best time to move. They don’t want to do anything ‘crazy’ for the player, and that’s why the competition from Liverpool and Real Madrid looks so threatening.
