Liverpool are one of the ‘interested parties’ in rising star Karim Adeyemi but will have to pay €30-40m to secure his signature.
That’s according to Austria’s ORF, who say the forward’s price continues to rise as he continues to impress for RB Salzburg.
Adeyemi is one of the rising stars in European football; with his breakthrough at Salzburg and for the German national side meaning he has ‘enraptured’ big clubs around the world.
Liverpool have regularly been named among his potential suitors, and yesterday we covered a report from Salzburger Nachrichten that stated the Reds ‘should make advances’ in the near future.
ORF certainly believe that will be the case, stating that Adeyemi is ‘set to bring tens of millions’ into his current club’s coffers by the summer at the latest.
The plan is for him to stay at Salzburg until the summer, but that plan already seems ‘outdated’ given his rise domestically and internationally.
His father and manager have already held talks with Bayern Munich, but they are only one of several ‘interested parties’, of which Liverpool are another.
As his contract runs until 2024, there is no fear in Salzburg and a figure of €30-40m is already being ‘discussed’ as the starting point.
Whether Liverpool are willing to pay such a price isn’t mentioned, but it is made clear that figure will continue to rise if Adeyemi continues to shine as he has.
The Reds may want to move early to beat the competition then, with Bayern also said to be in ‘pole’ at this moment in time.
