Honduran outlet Diez today feature an interesting piece about a youngster who may soon be representing their country in Europe. That’s Hendrick Ronaldo, who plays for FC Solothurn in Switzerland.
The 15-year-old is called a ‘little gem’ who wants to play for the Honduran national team in the future. And it turns out that he dreams of playing for Manchester United.
That was revealed in the 15-year-old’s interview with Diez. He was asked about the European side he’d like to sign for, and had no doubts about his answer.
“For Manchester United from England.”
The youngster also explained that having Ronaldo in his name doesn’t mean it was a tribute to the former Manchester United player.
“It’s a common European name in Portugal. I also like it for Ronaldo from Brazil.”
Hendrick Ronaldo was born in Switzerland, where his mother is from. However, with a Honduran father, his dream is to play for their national team. That’s what he says when he’s asked about where he sees himself in ten years.
“I’d like to play and defend the colors of the Honduran national team.”
The youngster is still taking his first steps in football, but seems to have clear goals, and we’ll see whether he’ll reach Manchester United and the Honduran national team one day.
