Earlier on Tuesday, we covered a story from the Italian media about Wolverhampton Wanderers’ supposed interest in Faouzi Ghoulam.
Tuttosport were the ones reporting it, claiming Jorge Mendes was looking for a new club for his client with Molineux a natural option, knowing how much influence the super agent has there.
The Italian newspaper didn’t know how much Napoli were asking for, but Gazzetta dello Sport do.
In their Tuesday edition, the outlet explain the Algeria international ‘could end up at Wolverhampton’, with the Serie A side ‘asking for €10m’.
Another point was the move can only really take place ‘if he agrees to spread his €3.5m/year salary over the following seasons’.
That, for Gazzetta, is described as a ‘very likely hypothesis’, suggesting there’s a good chance the defender ends up at Molineux in the coming months.
Ghoulam has been on the move for quite some time now without ever finding himself a new club, so while this all sounds plausible, we’ll need a bit more before getting all excited about this one just yet.
