While some clubs had relatively slow summer transfer windows, Real Betis were at the opposite end.
The Spanish club were not only busy getting new players into the club last summer but sending some the other way.
Their two biggest outgoings were loan deals, with Giovani Lo Celso and Victor Camarasa joining Tottenham and Crystal Palace on loan respectively.
Those deals included options and clauses to make the moves permanent this summer, but so far, neither player has done much to convince the English sides to do that.
That’s not gone down well in Betis as they were hoping to sell him to the Eagles permanently and as such a decision will have to be made.
According to Estadio Deportivo, they don’t want Camarasa to be ‘devalued’ by his lack of playing time and as such, ‘it is very likely’ that they will find a new team for him in January.
Quite how they will manage this isn’t mentioned, with them presumably needing to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace to end the loan prematurely.
It seems unlikely there would be any resistance given the lack of minutes he’s had under Roy Hodgson this season, but before such an agreement is in place, Betis’ plans for January will be on hold.
