It’s not a great time for Stoke City right now.
Second to bottom of the Premier League, the club are in real danger of relegation, and Paul Lambert hasn’t managed to keep up his initial impact.
But one player is still thrilled with his situation and that he signed for Stoke during the winter transfer window.
Moritz Bauer arrived at Stoke from Rubin Kazan in January and went straight into the team. Surprisingly for a winter signing, the right back has already made eight Premier League appearances.
Currently away with the Austrian national team, Bauer was asked about his start to life at Stoke.
Heute newspaper quote the defender as saying: “You cannot expect that. It’s like a dream that does not stop.”
As well as being excited about his domestic football, Bauer is also hugely enthusiastic about turning out for Austria in the planned friendlies.
Stoke will hope he comes back in one piece and continues to be a bright spark around the place.
