Nottingham Forest have joined Southampton and AFC Bournemouth in the chase for Loïc Badé.
On Wednesday, multiple reports coming out of France stated that Bournemouth plan to hijack the Saints’ bid for the Rennes player.
There was no mention of Nottingham Forest having any sort of interest in the 22-year-old, until Foot Mercato on Thursday came up with a fresh update. Their title states he is ‘close’ to the Tricky Trees.
Within the report, they say it was not clear where will the centre-back play once the transfer window closes. What has been certain is that he will move away from the Ligue 1 side.
Southampton have been pushing to sign the Frenchman since yesterday, while Aston Villa and FC Augsburg had him on their target list. Despite this, it is Nottingham Forest who are ‘in pole’ to secure the player’s services.
Steve Cooper’s side will most likely be Badé’s next destination and they are pushing to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy. It’s claimed only a ‘few details remain to be settled’ with Rennes to complete the defender’s signing.
