Liverpool have started the season very strongly, despite a few difficult fixtures in the opening games. The Merseyside club will host Tottenham in the EFL Cup tonight, and Jurgen Klopp is set to make a few changes.
However, French defender Mamadou Sakho won’t be one of them. The 26-year-old played for the U23s on Sunday, and is no closer to returning to the first team.
Sakho hasn’t made an appearance for Liverpool this season, and Jurgen Klopp desnt seem especially keen to have that situation change.
According to French website Mercato365, LOSC Lille have shown interest in taking Sakho on board. The Ligue 1 club are monitoring a few names in the Premier League, with one of them being Sakho.
The French defender has already played for Paris-Saint Germain in France, and could make a return.
Sakho was linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion in the summer, but he opted to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place.
