Gomis

Swansea star Bafetimbi Gomis has been tipped to leave the Welsh club this summer due to the lack of playing time under Francesco Guidolin.

According to L’Equipe in France, Marseille are interested in signing Gomis on a loan.

The Ligue 1 club, however, are reluctant to pay any loan fee, and they’re likely to find it difficult to match his wages of €5m a season.

Franck Passi is likely to be Marseille manager next season, and L’Equipe believe the Swansea star is a ‘true favourite’ of Passi.

Earlier, L’Equipe reported Sunderland have also made an offer for Gomis, and it remains to be seen if he’d tempted by a move back to his homeland.

In any case, the 30-year-old is likely to leave because it’s quite clear he isn’t in the future plans of Francesco Guidolin.

The 30-year-old managed 7 goals last season in 35 appearances, with most of them coming on as a substitute and he’s never seemed truly thrilled with his situation since he joined the club.
