Paulo Dybala graces the front page of several Italian sport newspapers on Wednesday.
The Juventus player scored the only goal of the game on Tuesday evening as the Turin club beat Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. He now has seven goals and three assists so far this season and continues to be a favourite among Juve fans.
It could all have been very different, with repeat claims towards the end of the window that he was close to signing for Manchester United. Demands over wages were said to have killed the deal, with it feeling like United were sending out messages to make excuses for failing to get a deal which always felt unlikely.
Dybala is happy at Juventus and even if he didn’t feel the faith of the club and manager at the beginning of the season, he knew there was time to make it right and the chance he’d be there longer than Maurizio Sarri anyway.
After another good night for the player, Tuttomercatoweb have spoken to Gustavo Dybala, the player’s brother and agent, and one of the questions was about potentially signing for Manchester United or Inter Milan in the last summer window.
Gustavo brushed it all off by saying: “Let’s talk about the present. Paulo is really happy for the moment he is living today at Juventus, he feels good physically and is certainly on the right track. It can go on like this.”
