“Let’s see how it goes” – Arteta reveals Arsenal have big decision to make over injured star ‘in next few days’

This week, regardless of Gabriel Jesus’ injury, Brazil decided to call the Arsenal star up for the next international break.

Manager Fernando Diniz claimed that he wants to find out about the striker’s real condition, and only then decide whether he can be used or not.

Following Arsenal’s match against Sevilla last night, Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta had a word with TNT Sports, and was asked about Jesus.

The coach still couldn’t give many details about the player’s recovery, despite being faithful it won’t take much longer.

“Let’s see how it goes in the next few days. I know Gabi is always very excited to play for the national team, he loves it and the history he has had lately when he has recovered his place, for sure he doesn’t want to miss it. Let’s see how he is medically and see what decision is made,” Arteta told TNT Sports.

Due to a thigh injury, Gabriel Jesus has missed out on Arsenal’s last four games. The Gunners still have a match against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium next weekend before the international break.

Brazil have a quite important couple of fixtures in the World Cup Qualifiers, facing Colombia and Argentina in the coming weeks.

Manager Fernando Diniz is being questioned after his first few games in charge, and will have his full strength on the pitch, meaning that if there’s any chance Jesus will be available, he should be used.
