Besiktas president Fikret Orman has made more comments about Everton striker Cenk Tosun returning to his former club this summer.
Earlier this month Orman said he hoped to bring Tosun back to Istanbul and he’s again gone on record to suggest he wants to re-sign the Everton forward.
Speaking at a Besiktas conference as covered by Aksam, Orman said: “Cenk is a very good boy, he is a good Besiktas supporter. Burak is the same. I am hoping they will play together at Besiktas. We saw what a great duo they are in the national team games. Let’s see what the future holds.”
Tosun was linked with a return to Besiktas during the last transfer window but the Turkish striker said he wasn’t considering a return to Turkey as he wants to prove himself in the Premier League.
The Turkey international this week confirmed he had loan offers during the last transfer window from England and Spain, but the Toffees turned down these approaches.
However, Besiktas president Orman has made it no secret that he wants to form his dream striker partnership of Burak Yilmaz and Tosun and it’s likely the Super Lig club will again knock on Everton’s door this summer.
As it stands Tosun doesn’t seem to be in the plans of Marco Silva and he may have to go out on loan next season to get games elsewhere.
