Aksam report Fenerbahce are interested in signing Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil this summer and that the Turkish club are ‘dreaming’ of getting their man.
The Turkish newspaper report that due to a lack of playing time under Unai Emery, Ozil is considering leaving Arsenal to make a new start, and Fenerbahce could be an option for the 30 year old.
According to Aksam, Ozil’s fiancee Amine Gulse is a huge Fenerbahce fan, and considering the Arsenal playmaker is approaching his 31st birthday, a move to Turkey could be a possibility for him this summer.
It’s reported Fenerbahce are ready to do whatever it takes to sign the Arsenal man, but the player would certainly need to take a huge drop in wages if he really wants to join his reported childhood club.
Aksam say Arsenal are unlikely to stand in Ozil’s way if he decides to exit the Emirates in the summer.Ozil is under contract at Arsenal until 2021, and it feels like wishful thinking from Turkey.
