Leicester City have reportedly met with Luan’s agent Jair Peixoto. In a two-hour talk, the Foxes learned the conditions of the deal and promised to make Grêmio an official bid before the window shuts.

The fact that Leicester had an emissary in Porto Alegre who would work on the signing was first reported by ESPN Brasil, and now Globo Esporte are those who talk about the meeting, which makes the stories very reliable.

According to Globo Esporte, the personal terms offered to the player were considered to be irresistible.

The 23-year-old sees Leicester as a good option to start his career in European football, since he’d be defending the Premier League title and would have a chance to play in the Champions League in his first season.

Grêmio’s directors say they have only received approaches for the player, but no official bids have arrived so far. The club would demand at least €25m for their star.

Leicester officials were in Porto Alegre to sign Eduardo Sasha, from the Grêmio rivals Internacional. But it seems the clubs haven’t found a deal and the Foxes turned their attentions to Luan.

Grêmio and Internacional played the Southern derby this Sunday, and with so many chances missed by Sasha, Leicester probably understood they’ve found the right target after watching Luan’s great performance in Grêmio’s 1-0 win.
