You might recall a couple of weeks ago that reports from Spain emerged claiming that Leicester City were interested in William Carvalho.
The Real Betis midfielder has been a target for many Premier League clubs over the course of his career, but that fateful move across the Channel has yet to take place.
Radio Marca claimed Leicester were the latest to make an attempt, and went as far as stating the player had a ‘very advanced agreement’ with the Foxes regarding a move.
Furthermore, it was said all parties saw a transfer ‘with good eyes’, but there was one detail missing: the transfer fee.
Leicester had yet to make an official move for the Portugal international, but El Desmarque in Spain believe that could be just around the corner.
The Spanish website states Betis are ‘working on various exits’ and William Carvalho is one of them.
Down their end, the Foxes are reportedly ready to go ‘up to €25m (with variables)’ for the defensive midfielder.
As things stand, 25% of that fee would then end up going to Sporting CP, so it’s in Betis’ interests to get as big of a fee as possible for their player.
