With Bayern Munich deciding against making Philippe Coutinho’s loan move permanent, Barcelona will have to help the Brazil international find a new destination in the summer.
On April 1st, Sport reported Leicester City have emerged as a new contender for the former Liverpool man.
It was also explained the Foxes’ idea would be to take him on a loan deal with an option to buy.
The temporary deal would cost around €30m and this includes the loan fee plus the South American’s salary.
Reports coming out of England on Monday suggested Barcelona will make Coutinho available for €80m.
Sport however claims otherwise. They state Barca have no plans to allow Coutinho to leave for anything less than €90m. They are aware it’s difficult to receive such high offers for him in the summer and therefore, a loan move is therefore viewed as an alternate option.
It’s claimed Premier League clubs have asked to take Coutinho on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Leicester City have been edged out, with it being claimed they ‘have doubts’ about the deal, likely related to the finances.
