Vicente Iborra has been endlessly linked with a return to Spain since not long after arriving at Leicester City.

Captain at Sevilla, and so attached to the club he cried at his goodbye press conference, the Spanish media have long felt that Iborra’s Leicester career would be a brief one.

They’ve been given good reason for that stance. Iborra has spoken repeatedly about potentially returning to La Liga, sooner or later, and doesn’t make efforts to rule the possibility out when questioned on the latest rumour.

Sevilla, Valencia and Levante have all been repeatedly linked with the Foxes midfielder.

El Desmarque have picked up comments Iborra has given to Cadena Ser, in which he once again kept his future options open, and also claimed Leicester stood in the way of a transfer during the summer window.

The Spaniard is quoted as saying: “I always have a relationship with Sevilla. It’s a club that I still keep very close and there are always conversations. Apart from this, Leicester didn’t let me go, they consider me an important player and when you are valued like that you are also grateful.”

Iborra certainly doesn’t seem too upset he’s still at the Premier League club, but come the next window, come the same old rumours.
