Luis Hernandez signed for Leicester City during the summer transfer window on a four-year deal. The 27-year-old has already made six appearances this season, but doesn’t seem to be in Ranieri’s first team plans.
Hernandez has been speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, and was asked about the Italian coach.
The Spanish defender insists Ranieri is a very experienced manager, and is ‘superb’.
He said: “He is a very experienced coach who knows how to handle the players. At work, in day to day management he is superb and that is crucial.
“He knows how to handle times of pressure. We must compete in every game. That’s what he conveys.”
Asked about how difficult the transition is from La Liga to the Premier League, he added: “I decided to join because they were the champions. It was a major leap in my career, I had the option of playing in the Champions League and as soon as the opportunity arose I had no doubt.
“It was the right time. I’m adjusting to the competition, the team. I have signed for four years and have much time.”
