If Peter Schmeichel was the Great Dane, what does that make Kasper? The Big Dane?
Winning the Premier League with Leicester City certainly helped the Old Trafford legend’s son gain some reputation in the world of football, but the Danish press might be getting a bit carried away by comparing him to Superman.
Their example is Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sweden in the way he carried them on his back for so long, and the newspaper pick out six possibilities, including their goalkeeper.
Saying he is as ‘strong and fearless’ as the Man of Steel, Ekstra Bladet also imply ‘you would also almost believe the Dane can fly’ around the box as he tries to outmanoeuvre strikers and their attempts at goal.
While Schmeichel’s ‘courage, leadership, strength and quick reflexes’ are nothing compared to ‘inhuman strength, flying, laser vision and extreme speed’, we can just about see where they’re coming from.
