Leicester City are about to make an attempt to sign Lucas Beraldo from São Paulo, according to reports from Brazil.
UOL writes that the Foxes are preparing a bid which could reach the €20m mark.
It’s said São Paulo already told Leicester City they won’t even open talks for less than that, so there’s the expectation that those numbers will be on the table.
According to UOL, Foxes’ representatives scouted the player in action against Red Bull Bragantino last month, and it seems they got convinced by his performance.
It’s claimed that São Paulo need to sell players before the end of the year, and they know Beraldo is one of the wanted men in the market.
In the past few months, we’ve already seen Beraldo getting linked to the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
That’s a pretty clear sign that Leicester City need to hurry and make a convincing bid to have a chance of winning that race. Since the Brazilian season is about to finish, they may have a bigger chance than those who tried the transfer back in the European summer.
