Fanatik report Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani wants to return to his former club Sporting Lisbon once his miserable loan spell with Fenerbahce ends.

The Algerian striker is currently training with the Super Lig club’s reserves after being frozen out by Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal.

According to Fanatik, the 31 year old is hoping he can prove himself at Sporting and the that the Portuguese club would also considering making a move for him.

However, it’s reported that the Leicester City outcast would have to take a pay cut in order to join the Portugal giants as they currently don’t have enough resources to pay the attacker’s wages.

The Leicester City owned striker has only managed to score one league goal for Fenerbahce this season and he’s become a symbol of the Turkish club’s poor campaign.

Slimani is under contract at Leicester City until June 2021.
