Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel now seems to be taking his final steps out of the club.
According to the latest reports from France, the 35-year-old is set to have his medical ahead of a move to Nice.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna claims that following an agreement for a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 side, Schmeichel is set for medical examinations on Wednesday.
As previously reported by him, there’s an agreement between Leicester City and Nice worth €1m plus performance bonuses. This time, he adds that some of the add-ons are related Nice’s potential qualification for the Champions League.
Last season, the French side finished the league in 5th, only getting qualification to the Europa League’s play-off round, so Leicester City will certainly be hoping for a better campaign so they can make more money from the sale.
Besides Schmeichel, Nice reportedly reached today an agreement with former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who recently became a free agent following breaking of his contract with the Old Lady.
