Rachid Ghezzal should be announced as a Leicester City player very quickly indeed, insist FootMercato in France on Sunday.

The Foxes have been working on signing at least one flexible attacker over the past week or so, with claims heavily building on Friday.

A whole raft of such players were strongly linked with Leicester at the end of last week, including Ghezzal, Adnan Januzaj and Thorgan Hazard.

Ghezzal claims really built, and Saturday’s edition of L’Equipe reported he’d be moving from AS Monaco in a €14m deal and signing a four year contract with the Premier League club.

The French newspaper also said the footballer had gone through a medical and already passed it, the transfer was almost done.

FootMercato on Sunday report Ghezzal has just got the medical ‘OK’ and the player’s signature is ‘imminent’. These are either contradicting reports or there’s been two parts to the medical and the final approval has only just arrived… that wouldn’t be odd.
