Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey is a potential target for Besiktas as they look to add defenders to their squad before the end of the window.
That’s according to Milliyet journalist Serdar Sarıdağ, who names the Foxes man on the list of options for the Turkish side.
Besiktas have been busy in this transfer window already, bringing in the likes of Gedson Fernandes, Valentin Rosier and Jackson Muleka.
There has also been a particular focus on the English market as Romain Saiss, Cenk Tosun, Wout Weghorst and Arthur Masuaku have arrived from Wolves, Everton, Burnley, and West Ham respectively.
Saiss is the only man to have arrived as a reinforcement for the centre of defence, though, and it seems Besiktas are keen to change that.
That’s left them looking at the Premier League once again and it seems they now have their attention on Leicester and Amartey in particular, if Sarıdağ is to be believed.
“I think two centre-backs will be bought and there is a high chance that they will be from the Premier League,” Milliyet report him saying.
“If there are two options, I would like Amiri to come as well. Besiktas is looking for good and experienced names. They are waiting for the foreign limit.
“Daniel Amartey from Leicester City and Samy Mmaee from Ferencvaros are on the list. The main target was Kaan Ayhan, but it hasn’t happened yet.”
