Leicester City are ‘interested’ in Paris Saint-Germain’s Arnaud Kalimuendo, who has been out on loan at RC Lens since the summer of 2020.

Having managed eight goals and six assists in all competitions last term, the striker has 11 goals to his name from 31 matches this campaign. His performances have caught the attention of clubs in Europe, ‘especially in England’.

That’s what Foot Mercato are reporting and name Leicester City as one of the 20-year-old’s suitors. They further add the Foxes have ‘recently advanced their pawns’ to sign the attacker.

Kalimuendo has over just two years left on his contract with the French champions. According to the report, a meeting is scheduled between his representatives and PSG leaders in the coming weeks.

The player, who wants to stay at PSG, is open to signing an extension at Parc des Princes. The Ligue 1 side ‘will have to think about’ their strategy on how to deal with the France U21 international’s future, with Leicester showing interest in him.

PSG have to decide whether to retain the frontman next season or sell him in the summer so that they can earn some cash.

These claims were made by Santi Aouna and the journalist took to Twitter to state that Brendan Rodgers’ side have ‘initiated first contact’ to sign Kalimuendo.
