Leicester City seem to have found an alternative after failing to sign Adrien Silva from Sporting CP. According to A Bola on Wednesday, the Foxes have now turned their attentions to the Braga midfielder Xeka.
The 22-year-old actually belongs to Braga B, but has made a few appearances for the first squad this season and ended up attracting the attention from a few clubs abroad.
Only in the Premier League, Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Everton are all said to have watched the player in the past few weeks.
But Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City are in front of this trio, as according to A Bola, the Foxes have shown they could be willing to sign the player soon.
Xeka’s contract with Braga expires at the end of the next season, so the club are trying to renew it as soon as possible. Especially after all these interested sides have shown up.
The price wouldn’t really be a problem.
At least that’s what A Bola says when they describe the player as “a great temptation for European clubs who are able to spend considerable amounts of Euros just as locals and tourists pay for a coffee in the famous arcade of the Republic Square, right in the centre of the archbishops’ city.”
So yeah, just like that.
