Loïc Badé arrived at RC Lens on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 and established himself in his first full season at the French side.

The defender’s performances have caught attention from clubs in England and across Europe, according to Foot Mercato.

Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion get a mention, and it’s claimed both the Foxes and Graham Potter’s side have ‘ticked his name’, if one of their defenders leaves in the summer.

That’s about the only information mentioned about the two Premier League sides. From Spain, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal have shown interest in the Ligue 1 centre-back.

Lyon and Rennes are named as suitors from France, and the latter’s interest remains ‘concrete’. However, the fee requested by Lens is ‘substantial’ and that can pose a problem for them.

Rennes could raise funds through the sales of some of their star players, including Eduardo Camavinga, and use the money to sign Badé. Apart from this, they will have to persuade the player to snub interest from elsewhere to join Rennes.

If one of Leicester and Brighton decide to make an approach for Badé, Foot Mercato state they will have to meet the ‘substantial’ fee demanded by RC Lens.
