Hamburger SV have Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville in their sights for the winter market.
Two days ago, Bild reported the German club’s talks with Whites are ‘gaining speed’ for the transfer of the 20-year-old.
On Wednesday, we covered claims made by Hamburger Abendblatt that HSV sporting director Michael Mutzel is ‘holding talks’ with Marcelo Bielsa’s side for the ‘immediate transfer’ of the winger.
The Netherlands U21 international has been restricted to one start in all competitions this season, and 119 minutes of action in the league which came from five substitute appearances.
HSV CFO, Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld, has insisted his club have the funds to carry out deals in the ongoing window.
Another report from Bild states Summerville is a ‘concrete candidate’ for the German club, on a loan transfer. The Dutchman has ‘signalled’ to the HSV bosses he is ‘interested’ in joining them in January.
However, Bielsa ‘doesn’t seem particularly enthusiastic’ about Summerville’s departure in the coming days and the reason for that is ‘injuries’. Leeds have seen several of their players pick up injuries this season, and with a small squad it’s understandable if the manager doesn’t want to lose options.
