Leeds United and Watford are in the picture to sign AC Reggiana 1919’s Natan Girma in the summer window, according to Quotidiano Sportivo.

The attacking midfielder joined the Serie B side on a free transfer in 2023, and he finished his debut season with six goals and three assists from 29 games.

The report says his future remains uncertain, probably because of the interest shown by Leeds, Watford and Monza.

The Swiss player has been sidelined with a knee injury since April, but that hasn’t stopped him from attracting interest. Reggiana want to retain him, although they are aware it will be difficult if there’s a convincing offer.

The report explains the second division Italian club won’t consider his sale for less than €3-4m.

Monza are currently leading the race to sign the 22-year-old. Quotidiano Sportivo add that another ‘viable option’ for Girma is to move abroad, where Leeds and Watford are keen.

It’s claimed both Leeds and Watford have ‘already tested the waters’ with Reggiana in recent months, and they have made contact with Girma’s entourage.
