Leeds United’s Rafa Mújica is close to joining Real Oviedo, according to AS.

Oviedo coach José Ángel Ziganda has already admitted his side are planning to bring in two new attackers in this window, and AS explain the Segunda División side have identified the 21-year-old as one of the targets.

It’s claimed the forward is set to join Oviedo on a loan deal and become their second signing of this window.

These claims have also been backed up El Comercio, who further explain Mújica is already in Oviedo and is waiting to clear his medical examination.

Marca state the forward is the first choice target for Oviedo sporting director Francesc Arnau.

Mújica joined Leeds United as a free agent last summer and signed a three-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League club.

The Whites initially included him in their U23 side, but then loaned him out to second division Spanish side Extremadura UD in 2019.

Mújica’s stay with Extremadura was cut short in January and he was then allowed to join Villarreal B team on a temporary deal in the same window.
